Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the travel behaviors of wellness cannabis tourists and 2) study tourism motivation that affects the decision to participate in wellness cannabis tourism. This quantitative research used a sample of 400 Thai tourists, travelers, and visitors. Data were collected using a questionnaire, with the sample selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using statistical methods, including percentage, frequency, standard deviation, Independent Samples T-Test, One-Way ANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis, with a significance level of 0.05.

The results showed that most tourists were female, aged between 21-25 years, with a bachelor's degree, single, and students with an income of no more than 15,000 THB per month. Most of them resided in the northeastern region of Thailand. Hypothesis testing showed that differences in gender, age, marital status, and occupation resulted in variations in the decision to participate in wellness cannabis tourism, motivations related to physical and mental health, the purchase of cannabis-related products and services, curiosity, and cannabis policies and regulations significantly influenced the decision to participate in wellness cannabis tourism at a 0.05 significance level.
