The Development of Design and Creativity Instructional Media Skill Using the Augmented Reality Technology for Students by CIPPA Model
Keywords:
instructional media design skills, Instructional media creation, Augmented Reality technologyAbstract
This research aimed to 1) study the development of students’ instructional media design skills using Augmented Reality (AR) technology; 2) study the development of students’ instructional media creation skills using AR technology; and 3) design and implement instructional activities to promote the development of these skills by integrating AR technology with the CIPPA Model teaching process. The population consisted of 21 fourth-year undergraduate students from the College of Dramatic Arts, Lopburi, in the first semester of the 2024 academic year, selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments included 1. instructional activity plans, 2. an instructional media design skill assessment form, and 3. an instructional media creation skill assessment form using AR technology. All instruments were validated by experts. Data were analyzed using mean (𝑥̄) and standard deviation (S.D.).
The research results revealed that: (1) the students’ instructional media design skills using AR technology were at the highest level, 𝑥̄= 4.68 (2) the students’ instructional media creation skills using AR technology were also at the highest level, 𝑥̄= 4.71 and (3) the instructional activities designed and implemented by integrating AR technology with the CIPPA Model effectively enhanced students’ skills in instructional media design and creation.
