บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเชื่อและพิธีกรรมของชาวประมงพื้นบ้านต่อทวดหัวเขาแดง โดยใช้พื้นที่ชุมชนชาวประมงพื้นบ้านหัวเขาแดงบริเวณ หมู่ที่ 8 ซึ่งเป็นชุมชนพุทธเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกและสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วมและไม่มีส่วนร่วม โดยกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักคือ กลุ่มชาวประมงพื้นบ้าน และกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลรอง คือกลุ่มชาวบ้านที่มีความเชื่อในความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของทวดหัวเขาแดง ร่วมกับการศึกษาเอกสารข้อมูลและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง จากนั้นนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์และตีความในประเด็นที่เชื่อมโยงกันตามวัตถุประสงค์ แล้วสรุปและอภิปรายผลการวิจัย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ชาวประมงพื้นบ้านชุมชนหัวเขาแดงมีวิถีชีวิตที่เกี่ยวข้องและผูกพันอยู่กับความเชื่อและพิธีกรรมเป็นสิ่งที่สืบทอดมาจากบรรพบุรุษ ชาวประมงพื้นบ้านชุมชนหัวเขาแดงให้ความสำคัญเกี่ยวกับการประกอบอาชีพมากกว่าพิธีกรรมในด้านอื่นๆเนื่องจากชาวประมงมีความเสี่ยงสูงและต้องพึ่งพาอาศัยทรัพยากรทางธรรมชาติในการประกอบอาชีพ ทวดหัวเขาแดงจึงเป็นสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่สำคัญ ในกลุ่มชาวประมงพื้นบ้านชุมชนหัวเขาแดง พิธีกรรมความเชื่อที่มีมาแต่โบราณซึ่งเป็นการแสดงความเคารพและบูชาทวดหัวเขาแดงเพื่อให้เกิดความเป็นสิริมงคลเป็นที่ยึดเหนี่ยวทางจิตใจและคุ้มครองความปลอดภัยเพื่อให้การประกอบอาชีพประสบความสำเร็จ
