Preparing for Self-reliance and Sustainable Retirement of Gen X People

Abstract
Over the years, several important changes have taken place, especially, the working-age population is reduced and entering a fully aged society. As a result, the economic conditions in the country are not favorable for the elderly who are retired, and able to live comfortably as it should be. Gen X people will become a large group of full-time elders in the near future.
The purpose of this article is to provide a retirement preparation guideline for Gen X people who should prepare in three areas as follows: 1) Having a good quality of life 2) Sufficient income after retirement preparation and 3) Adaptation to be able to live in the modern world with a goal to live happily and sustainable self-reliance after retirement.
