Factors Affecting the Behavior of Reducing the Use of Single-use Plastics of Personnel Officers of Department of Industrial Works

Abstract

This quantitative research aims for explored the factors involving in reduction of single-use plastic usage behavior revealed by questionnaires obtained from 258 personnel officers in Department of Industrial Works. The data subjected to Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics via Multiple Regression Analysis in order to elucidate factors including information perception, personal attitude and social responsibility with connection to reduction of single-use plastic usage behavior. As a result, social responsibility was the most significant factor effects on the reduction of single-use plastic usage behavior followed by information perception and personal attitude, respectively. Concerning these variables, information perception factor in terms of mindfulness, personal attitude factor considering emotions and social responsibility by social development aspect altogether can precisely forecast the reduction of single-use plastic usage behavior applied to Department’s personnel at statistically significant of 0.01
