The Relationship between Saving behaviors, Savings Plans and the Happiness of Employees in the Seventh Day Adventist Foundation

Abstract
The aim of this research is to 1) investigate the relationship between saving behavior, motivational savings, and savings decisions, and happiness for employees in Seventh Day Foundation in Thailand, and 2) study the relationship between savings plan and income plan. Employees of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Foundation in Thailand use income planning, cost planning, savings planning, debt burden and life happiness. The sample consisted of 284 Seventh Day Adventist Church Foundation employees who were selected by stratified random sampling. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that saving behavior, in terms of saving motivation and saving decisions, was positively correlated with life happiness. As for the planning of savings, income, savings, and debt burden were positively correlated with life happiness. As for the planning of savings, income, savings, and debt burden were positively correlated with life happiness. However, it was found that the cost savings plan had no relationship with the happiness of the employees at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Foundation. The summary of research findings and suggestions from the research are beneficial to employees and should be used as basic information for planning savings in order to be happy in life.
