A Study of Opinions on Factors Affecting the Decision to Pursue a Bachelor’s Degree of Students in the Business Administration Program, Faculty of Management Science, Songkhla Rajabhat University

Abstract
This research aims to 1) investigate the key factors influencing students' decisions to pursue undergraduate education and 2) compare these decision-making factors across personal demographics among students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at the Faculty of Management Sciences, Songkhla Rajabhat University, during the second semester of the 2023 academic year. The study sample comprised 300 students from the 1st to 3rd years, selected using stratified random sampling. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire, and analysis was performed using descriptive statistics such as frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, along with inferential statistics including t-tests and F-tests. The findings indicated that, overall, decision-making factors influencing students' choice of undergraduate education were rated at a high level (mean = 3.81, S.D. = 0.82). Among specific factors, the curriculum was found to be the most influential (mean = 3.93, S.D. = 0.76), followed closely by institutional image (mean = 3.92, S.D. = 0.76), and personal reasons (mean = 3.57, S.D. = 0.95). Furthermore, the comparative analysis revealed statistically significant differences in decision-making factors based on students’ characteristics, such as gender, age, religion, cumulative GPA, and parents' average monthly income, with significance observed at the 0.05 level.
