A Study of School Administrators' Roles in Promoting Classroom Research in Phetchabun, Thailand

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) to study the role of school administrators in promoting teachers' classroom research of Sahawittaya Sriwichian in the Phetchabun Secondary Educational Service Area with School-Based Management (SBM), and 2) to compare the role of school administrators in promoting teachers' classroom research of Sahawittaya Sriwichian in the Phetchabun Secondary Educational Service Area with School-Based Management (SBM). The researcher classified according to the size of the school. Krejcie and Morgan tables were used in multistage sampling to obtain the sample, which included 91 educators and administrators. The tools used to collect data are the questionnaire has a 5-point rating scale, with a total average IOC value of 0.91, which can be concluded that the IOC value for each item is between 0.80-1.00 that is calculated with values ​​greater than 0.5 considered valid, and the overall version's confidence level was .99. Analysis of this data involves calculating percentages for analysis, means, standard deviations, t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. The results of the research found that; 1) the promotion of research in classrooms by school administrators was a high-level endeavor that involved all aspects, including the progress of teachers who perform classroom research in their careers, and 2) the perceptions of teachers and school administrators about the overall and specific areas of differences in the role of school administrators in encouraging classroom research among instructors were striking at the .05 threshold of statistical significance.
