Effective 1 June 2026, the THAITESOL Journal requires all authors to provide a valid ORCID iD as part of the manuscript submission process.

This requirement is introduced to strengthen the accuracy, transparency, and international visibility of author information. ORCID iDs provide a unique and persistent digital identifier that helps distinguish researchers with similar names, supports accurate attribution of scholarly work, improves the quality of article metadata, and facilitates indexing, citation tracking, and interoperability across academic databases and publishing platforms. The use of ORCID also reflects the journal’s commitment to strengthening editorial standards and aligning its publication practices with recognised national and international journal management expectations.

ORCID iDs must be provided for all authors, including the corresponding author, in the Authors and Affiliations section of the manuscript. Manuscripts that do not comply with this requirement may be returned for revision during the initial pre-screening stage.

Authors who do not yet have an ORCID iD may register free of charge at https://orcid.org.
