Smoking Behavior and Self-assessment of Smoking Risk among Staff and Students of the Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, Chanthaburi Province

Abstract
The objective of this research were: 1) to study the smoking behavior, 2) to study self-assessment of smoking risk, and 3) to analyze the factors affecting smoking behavior and self-assessment of smoking risk among staff and students of the Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. The sample of this research were 400 staff and students of the Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. The research instrument was behavioral measurement and self-assessment of smoking risk.
The major fact finding were as follows: 1) staff and students of the Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University have been smoking the most 92.7 percent, 2) self-assessment of smoking risk is very risky 22.2 percent, and 3) personal factors affect behavioral smoking and self-assessment of smoking risk among staff and students of the Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University statistically significant at the level of .01. The regression analysis equation was as follow: raw scores predictive equation = .54 + -0.38**X1 and
= 2.13 + -0.14**X1, and a standard scores predictive equation
y = -0.33**ZX1 and
y = 0.28**ZX1.
Suggestion of this research was that the policies or promotions should be set for the quality of staff and students regarding personal factors to be more quality, Because attitudes affect smoking habits.
