Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the opinions of the marketing mix (8Ps) towards the selection of hospitals in the social security program in Bangkok; (2) to study the factors of service quality that affect the decision to choose hospital services in the social security program; and (3) to study the decision to use health insurance for the decision to use the hospital in the social security program. This study was a quantitative research survey using a questionnaire, survey opinions, population, and samples used in research. The population used in the study was the population living in Bangkok. For those who use private hospital services, a sample of 400 people was used, using questionnaires as a data collection tool. Data were analyzed by statistical methods such as mean and standard deviation. and the relationship between the variables was analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the decision to choose hospital services in the social security program in Bangkok, i.e., marketing mix (8Ps), had a positive influence on the decision to use hospital services in the social security program in Bangkok, with the system at a significant level of .05.
