Job Satisfaction as a Mediator Variable Between Job Motivation and Work Environment That Affecting Job Efficiency of Full-Time Employees in a Car Door Lock Manufacturing Company in the Siam Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate

Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) the level of job motivation, job satisfaction, work environment, and job efficiency; 2) job satisfaction as a mediator variable between the job motivation that affects job efficiency; and 3) job satisfaction as a mediator variable between the work environment that affects job efficiency. Regarding the research, the methodology was quantitative research. The sample used in this research was 185 full-time employees of a car door lock parts manufacturing company in the Siam Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate. The statistics used in this research consist of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation values and are analyzed by the structural equation model (SEM) by Smart PLS 3.0 program. The results revealed that: 1) the level of job motivation and job efficiency was at a high level, the level of job satisfaction and work environment were at a medium level; 2) job satisfaction as a variable linked to job motivation that affects job efficiency of full-time employees with a total influence of 0.259; and 3) job satisfaction as a variable linked to work environment that affects job efficiency with a total influence of 0.545, The result showed that the influence of job motivation and work environment affects job efficiency in higher.
