Strategic Innovation for Sustainable Organization

Abstract
This academic paper aims to present guidelines for determining strategic innovation for sustainable organizational development through a review of relevant literature. The important findings were that the integration of various factors to enable the organization to respond to changes and have operational results that the organization can survive in a competitive environment with other business operators in the market. Strategic innovation management components can be divided into five areas: (1) business networking; (2) rapid response to technology; (3) management process integration; (4) flexibility in allocation resources; and (5) creative development. The result of strategic innovation management that will happen to the business organization is the market advantage. The effective response from customers is competitive and improves organization’s business performance. Therefore, it can be seen that innovative strategy application for the business of the organization regarded as being of great importance because it can create results for businesses in terms of market advantage. Responding to the needs of target customers, creating an organization of competitive excellence, and creating operational results for the business are all factors that yield benefits for short- and long-term success. Guidelines for determining strategic innovation for sustainable organizational development include 1) upgrading technology to increase competitiveness; 2) operating new innovative operations for product development in line with market demands; and 3) developing advanced technology through the integration and utilization of external technologies.
