Situations, Needs and Developmental Guidelines for Quality of Early Childhood Education Management of Schools Under The Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the current and desirable situations. 2) to assess needs 3) to develop some guidelines for the quality of early childhood education management. The research sample group consisted of 133 school administrators and teachers. The sample was by Stratified Random Sampling. There were four research instruments: the current situations questionnaire and the structured interview form. The statistics employed in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index. The results of the research showed that: 1) the overall current situations were at a high level, and the overall desirable situations were at the highest level. 2) The results of the needs assessment for quality of early childhood education management ranked at high-level aspects were as follows: quality administration and management, quality organization of learning experiences, and teacher potential development. 3) The developmental guidelines cover three aspects as follows: 1) Quality of school curriculum: educational institutions should develop an educational institution curriculum based on an early childhood education curriculum by linking standards and desirable characteristics; 2) To improve the quality of learning experiences, teachers should organize activities in an integrated way through play, giving children hands-on practice. Using the five senses to give children a variety of direct experiences; 3) Quality teacher potential development: administrators should focus on teachers having qualifications corresponding to the subjects they teach. Using information technology in teaching and learning to develop learners is important. 4) For quality administration and management, executives should have creative ability and the ability to communicate. There is a systematic management structure. 5) Quality Educational Quality Assurance: Educational institutions should prepare a self-assessment report of the educational institution annually. The overall developmental guideline assessment revealed suitability at the highest level and possibility at the highest level.
