Factors Affecting Psychological well-being of the Elderly in Ban Harn Subdistrict, Bang Klam District, Songkhla Province

Abstract
This article aimed to study the level of psychological well-being and study factors affecting the psychological well-being of the elderly in Ban Han Subdistrict, Bang Klam District, Songkhla Province. A quantitative research method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires. The sample consisted of 267 elderly individuals aged 60 years and above residing in Ban Harn Subdistrict, Bang Klam District, Songkhla Province. South of Thailand. The sample size was calculated using the Krejcie & Morgan table, and a simple random sampling method was used by drawing lots from households with elderly members. Data analysis was conducted using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple linear regression analysis. The study results indicated that the overall psychological well-being of the elderly was at a high level, with the highest mean score in psychological well-being, followed by social aspects, knowledge, and physical health, respectively. The factors affecting the psychological well-being of the elderly included social relationships (ß = 0.481, p = .000), environ psychological well - being adaptation in society (ß = 0.230, p = .000), self-esteem (ß = 0.191, p = .000), self-awareness (ß = 0.141, p = .000), and family environment (ß = 0.076, p = .000).
