The Development of Academic Administrative Models to Promote Vocational Skills Learning Management of Schools Under Local Administrative Organizations in Surat Thani

Abstract
This research aimed to study 1) the current and desired conditions of academic management for promoting vocational skill learning, 2) develop an academic management model to enhance vocational skill learning, and 3) verify and experiment with using the academic management model for promoting vocational skill learning. The research employed a mixed-methods design. The sample consisted of 269 school administrators and teachers from schools under the jurisdiction of local administrative organizations in Surat Thani province, selected through stratified random sampling. The instrument for collecting data was a questionnaire about current and desired conditions, an interview form, a knowledge test, a teacher assessment form for vocational skill learning, and a model efficiency evaluation form. Data analysis comprised percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The results of the research found that 1) Academic administration to promote learning in vocational skills is at the present condition less than the desired condition at the highest level. And the most necessary need is curriculum development 2) Academic administration model to promote vocational skills learning, consisting of 6 elements: principles, objectives, inputs, procedures, outputs, and implementation of the model. 3) The results of the inspection and trial of the model found that scores after the development were significantly higher than before the development at the .05 level at the level of teachers' practice in learning management. at the highest level and efficiency of the model at the highest level.
