Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to 1) study school administration based on the principles of good governance. 2) compare perceptions of school administration according to gender, education level, and work experience; and 3) gather recommendations for school administration based on good governance principles from school administrators under the Office of Non-Formal and Informal Education, Mahasarakham Province. The study employed a quantitative survey research design. The population consisted of 370 participants. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of .944. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The research problems identified were inconsistencies in adhering to the rule of law, a lack of transparency and participation, inefficient resource utilization, and the absence of an in-depth comparative study on personal factors. The research findings revealed that 1) overall, school administration based on good governance was at a high level, with the highest mean scores in the rule of law and responsibility, followed by value for money, while transparency and participation received the lowest mean scores; 2) the comparison by gender, education level, and work experience showed no significant differences at the .05 level; and 3) recommendations included strict adherence to legal compliance, setting clear goals, promoting transparency, fostering ethics, encouraging stakeholder participation, and utilizing resources efficiently. In conclusion, administration should focus on legal compliance, transparency, participation, effective resource management, and the use of technology to enhance administrative efficiency.
