Strategic Leadership and Academic Leadership of Administrators of Basic Educational Institutions about Teachers' Perception under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the strategic leadership of basic education school administrators as perceived by teachers; 2) study the academic leadership of basic education school administrators as perceived by teachers; 3) examine the relationship between strategic leadership and academic leadership of basic education school administrators as perceived by teachers; and 4) analyze the strategic leadership factors influencing academic leadership of basic education school administrators as institutions about teachers' perception under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. This study employed a quantitative research design in the 2024 academic year. The sample group consisted of 340 members. The research instrument was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.986. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that (1) the overall and individual aspects of strategic leadership of school administrators were rated at a high level; (2) the overall and individual aspects of academic leadership were also rated at a high level; (3) strategic leadership was positively correlated with academic leadership as perceived by teachers; and (4) the strategic leadership factor that significantly influenced academic leadership was the “direction-setting” component.
