Factors Affecting the Work Performance of Migrant Workers in Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the performance of migrant workers in Nonthaburi province, 2) compare the performance of migrant workers in Nonthaburi Province classified by the characteristics of the establishment, and 3) study the management factors affecting the performance of migrant workers in Nonthaburi province. Quantitative data were collected from a sample group of 376 establishments in Nonthaburi province. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire, and the statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test, and MRA. The research results found that 1) the overall performance of migrant workers was at a high level. When considering each aspect, all aspects were at a high level. The aspect that was at the highest level was quantity, followed by time and quality. 2) Establishments with different characteristics of establishments agreed that the overall performance of migrant workers was significantly different at a statistical level of .05. When considering each aspect, all aspects were different according to the type of business and duration of business. And the number of migrant workers in the business and 3) material and equipment management factors and methods have an effect on the overall performance of migrant workers with statistical significance at the .01 level and financial and workforce management factors have an impact on the overall performance of migrant workers with statistical significance at the .05 level, ranked in order of the statistically significant influences as material and equipment, method, finance and workforce, respectively.
