Abstract

This study aimed to 1) study the standard operation of child development centers, 2) compare the standard operation of child development centers by gender, age, education level, and work experience, and 3) study the recommendations for the standard operation of child development centers. This research was quantitative. The research instrument was a questionnaire on the standard operation of child development centers. The data were collected from those involved in the standard operation of child development centers. The statistics used were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results found that 1) the standard operation of child development centers was at the highest level overall and in each aspect. 2) Comparison of the standard operation of child development centers according to the variables found that, classified by gender, education level, and work experience, the overall picture was not different. Classified by age, teachers of different ages had significantly different opinions overall. 3) Recommendations should increase the budget and learning equipment. In terms of personnel, those on duty should be aware of the importance of early childhood education. The place should be improved to be more livable in terms of buildings and facilities. Regarding academics and activities, learning plans should be designed and prepared according to the standards. Organize a briefing meeting to foster community participation and support where all relevant sectors can participate in the planning process. In terms of promotion, there should be support for personnel in child development centers to advance in their careers and have morale in performing their duties.
