บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการส่งเสริมพัฒนาประชาธิปไตยอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อสร้างรากฐานความเป็นระบอบประชาธิปไตยที่เข้มแข็ง แนวทางการส่งเสริมพัฒนาประชาธิปไตยอย่างยั่งยืน ได้ 6 ประเด็น ดังต่อไปนี้ คือ 1. สร้างความเป็นพลเมืองในระบอบประชาธิปไตย โดยปลูกฝังความรู้ ความเข้าใจ และทัศนคติ แก่ประชาชนทุกระดับ 2. การมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนทุกระดับ 3. ผู้บริหารประเทศต้องยึดหลักคุณธรรมทางการเมือง 4. ส่งเสริมการศึกษาเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต 5. ความรับผิดชอบต่อสาธารณะและความโปร่งใส ในสังคมประชาธิปไตย และ 6. การกระจายอำนาจสู่ท้องถิ่นอย่างแท้จริง เพื่อให้ประชาชนรักและพัฒนาท้องถิ่น เกิดความรักสามัคคี รวมทั้งส่งเสริมประชาธิปไตยให้มีความยั่งยืนในสังคมและประเทศชาติสืบไป
