The Guidelines for Instruction Media Utilization Development of the Teachers in the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area 17

Abstract

This research aimed to study conditions, problems, and needs in utilizing the instruction media and to seek the guidelines for the instruction media utilization development of the teachers in the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area 17. The researchers used a survey research method with a questionnaire to collect data from 306 teachers in the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area 17 in Chanthaburi and Trat provinces. Multi-random sampling method was adopted. The data were analyzed by using statistical software including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that:

1. The teachers used the instruction media at a high level. The problem in instruction media utilization was moderate. The demands for learning and teaching materials were moderate. The type of tools or devices at a high level. And the types of techniques and methods at a high level. The general opinion about the use of instruction media was at a high level overview.

2. The proposed guidelines for the development of instruction media were as follows: 1) There should be training on instruction media in various forms. 2) There should be a building or a warehouse, for keeping the medias. 3) Held a meeting to exchange knowledge about the use of teaching aids. 4) Supporting the budget for providing the teaching aids.
