The Preparation Of The Management For Asean Economic Community Of The Local Government Khao Chakan Sub-direct, Sakaow Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the preparedness, 2) to compare the preparedness, and 3) to test the level and understanding of the ASEAN  Community, 4) to study the problems, suggestions, and the ASEAN  Community preparedness of administrators and operational staff  in Local Administration  Khao Chakan Subdistrict  Sakaow  Province. The instrument was a rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used in this study were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test. The research findings were  1) the preparedness of the ASEAN  Community  of administrators and staff in Local Administration Khao Chakan Subdistrict  Sakaow  Province was at the high level,  2) The preparedness  to the ASEAN  Community of administrators and staff in Local Administration in Khao Chakan Subdistrict  Sakaow  Province, classified by gender, age, marital status, position, education, and monthly income, was at the high level, 3) The 62.80 percent of the ASEAN  Community knowledge and understanding was shown, 4) the following 7 problem issues leading to recommendations for administrators and staff were: 1) Corruption and abuse of official functions, 2) Problems with language and communication,  3) Drug problem in the area, 4) local administrators and staff lacked understanding in principles and local laws, rules, and regulations. 5) Problem of infrastructure development, 6) public order keeping, and 7) Problem of understanding in the role of community to  the ASEAN Community (AEC).
