Development of A Short Term Training Course Curriculum in Make –Up for Beauty School Career Students.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop a curriculum for a short training course in makeup for career for students in Beauty and Makeup Department. 2) to compare achievement of students before and after using a short training courses and 3) to compare the practical skills of students before and after using a short training course. The sample group included 30 students in the beauty and makeup department enrolling in the academic year 2019 of Polytechnic College Chanthaburi under the office of Vocational Education Commission. Purposive sampling method was used to select the samples. The research instruments consisted of 1) the suitability assessment form of the curriculum, 2) the achievement test, 3) the practical skills test. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test.  The results of the research were as follows :1) A short training course in makeup for career for students in Beauty and Makeup Department was at 4.67  2) The learning achievement with a short training course in makeup for career for students in Beauty and Makeup Department revealed that the achievement after using the short training curriculum was higher than before using the curriculum with statistical significance of .05  3) The practice skills with a short training course in makeup for beauty school career student revealed that the practical achievement after using the curriculum was higher than before using the curriculum with statistical significance of .05
