Agro-tourism Management Styles in Rayong and Chanthaburi Province

Abstract

The object of this research was to study tourism management styles of agro-tourism location in Rayong and Chathaburi province. This study was qualitative research with purposive sampling method using case studies in Ban Talay Noi Community, Thang Kwian Sub-district, Klaeng District, Rayong Province and Bang Sa Kao Community Bang Sa Kao Sub-district, Laem Sing District, Chantaburi Province. The data were collected by in-depth interview of 27 key-informants, and the information gained was analyzed by logical context.

               Both communities share similarities including that they are close to the rivers, they are adjacent to mangrove, their people work in agriculture and fishery, and they are both semi-urban and semi-rural. Although, Ban Talay Noi Community is near many factories the community remains local. Meanwhile, tourism management styles of these two communities have integrated based on agro-tourism management and local community. By signification factors include; fertilization of natural resources, traditions and cultures, folkway and life styles, folk wisdom, community skills and experience, adaptation, developing preparation and value added of natural resources and cultural heritage in preservation and tourism. management styles
