The Development of Multimedia Using Memory Model for Grade Five Students

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to develop multimedia materials based on the Memory Model for learning effectiveness of 5^th grade according to the E1/ E2 criteria (80/80), 2) to compare pre-test and post-test score, 3) to study effectiveness index of the developed multimedia materials, and 4) to study students' opinions toward the multimedia based learning. Thirty students in 5^th grade from Wat Mai Ket Ngam School in Muang District in Chonburi Province in the academic year of 2020 obtained from a random sampling method were the research sample. The research instruments were the multimedia materials using the Memory Model for the students in 5^th grade, pre-test, post-test, and the attitude questionnaires, The descriptive statistics used for the data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation, and t-test. The results of the study were 1) the developed multimedia materials using the Memory Model for the students in 5^th grade possessed the efficiency of 83.08/ 80.44, 2) the scores after studying with the multimedia materials were significantly higher than the pre-test scores at the .01 level, 3) the effectiveness index of the developed multimedia materials was at 0.51, and 4) the assessment results of students' opinions towards learning with the developed multimedia materials was at a good level (mean= 4.25).
