Development of Thesis Proposal of Master’s Degree Students Individual Study in Curriculum and Instruction by Using The Self-Directed Learning

Abstract

           The objectives of this research were to 1) study the quality of thesis proposal of master's degree students in the Independent Study in Curriculum and Instruction  by using self-directed learning, and 2) study the satisfaction of master's degree students in the Independent Study in Curriculum and Instruction by using self--directed learning. The sample  was a classroom  of 6  second-year master's degree students who  enrolled in  the Independent Study in Curriculum and Instruction in the first semester of the academic year 2022,Faculty of Education , Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under Royal Patronage,It was obtained by purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of 8 eight-hours lesson plans, a thesis proposal evaluation form, and a satisfaction questionnaire with a reliability of 0.82. The statistics used for data analysis were  mean and standard deviation.

   The research found that:

1. the result of the study on the quality of thesis proposal of master's degree students in  the Independent Study in Curriculum and Instruction by using self-directed learning, overall was at a good level ( = 4.23, S.D. = 0.67)

2. the results of the satisfaction study of master's degree students in  the Independent Study in Curriculum and Instruction by using self-directed learning, overall was at the highest level (= 4.77, S.D. =  0.57).
