Student Participation in Electricity Saving at Thepsatri Rajabhat University Lopburi Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to investigate level of knowledge, attitude and participation and to study the relationship between personal factors and attitude towards electricity saving affecting the participation in electricity saving of students at Thepsatri Rajabhat University, Lopburi Province. A questionnaire was used as a research tool to collect data from the sample of 400 students at Thepsatri Rajabhat University. Data collected were then analyzed using statistics, including percentage and mean. The relationship between variables was analyzed using Pearson's Correlation Coefficient through SPSS in order to test the correlation values with a statistical significance level of 0.05. The results of this research indicated that overall knowledge and attitude towards electricity saving of the respondents was at a high level. Overall participation in electricity saving of the respondents was at a high level. When individual aspects were considered, four aspects were at a high level. By studying the relationship between variables, age, university year, and faculty were related with the participation in electricity saving of the respondents with a statistical significance level of 0.01. Gender and attitude towards electricity saving were related to the participation in electricity saving of the respondents with a statistical significance level of 0.05.
