Opinion of nursing students on online education Maternal, Newborn nursing and midwifery 1 and 2 during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

         This article aimed to study (1) online education format, equipment, internet signal speed (2) online education problems (3) to compare satisfaction between onsite and online learning. The population was the 46 of 4^th year nursing student who studied Maternal Newborn nursing and midwifery 1 and 2 online course during the COVID-19 pandemic. The instrument for collecting data was a questionnaire divided into 4 parts with multiple choice and open-ended opinion. Analyzed statistics by percentage, and open-ended questionnaires from content. The research results were found as follows; 1) during COVID-19 100 percent online learning was took course. The most used device was a tablet/lpad at 63.04 percent, followed by note book and smart phone at 43.47 percent. The mostly internet signal source was mobile phones at 97.82 percent, followed by home internet at 27.73 percent and school internet at 6.52 percent. 2) The most external problems were low speed and poor internet signal at 82.60 percent, followed by poor connection signa[s at 60.68 percent and unfavorable environment at 45.65 percent. The most internal problem was learners' concentration and readiness at 67.39 percent, followed by lacked of self-reflection at 36.95 percent and lacked of independent study skill at 26.08 percent. The most effect of technology system was slow signal at 39.47 percent, followed by sound quality at 28.26 percent, the device was unsupported online learning at 28.26 percent and the poor screen display quality at 28.26 percent. 3) The students were more satisfied with onsite than online learning, representing 86.9 percent.
