Learning Management of Thai Language and Culture of Malaysian People in Perlis

Abstract
This research aimed to study 1) the state of Thai language learning of Malaysian people in Perlis 2) the process of Thai language learning and Buddhist custom activity participation and 3) ways to transfer Thai language in everyday life and to organize Buddhist custom activities. The research is qualitative research using the field study method. Data was collected by using the participant observation and in-depth interview. Then problems were analyzed and synthesized to find the solutions.
The research showedthat:Thai language and custom learning of Malaysian people in Perlis are mainly managed by members of the family or relatives, temples, and schools. According to Boworn principle (home, temple, and school), Thai language is emphatically spoken at home and at the temple while people join custom activities. The process of Thai language learning and Buddhist custom activity participation is based on the trust and faith of the merit. People are willing to attend Buddhist custom activities because they realize the importance of it. Each custom has many continuous steps and takes day after day. This shows the process of socialization. For ways to transfer Thai language in everyday life and to organize Buddhist custom activities, home, temple, and school and practical Thai usage are used to be part of the movement of custom activities.
