THE READINESS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TOWARD ENTREPRENEURS

Abstract
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of economics in many countries. Therefore, the study of the readiness of undergraduate students in the final year of their studies was significant in order to acknowledge students’ aptitude, readiness, and intention to be an entrepreneur in the near future. The questionnaire was employed as the main research instrument for collecting data from the sample group, 816 Co-operative Education students. The statistical data analysis indicated that students from Faculty of Engineering had the highest entrepreneurial aptitude while students from the Faculty of Business Administration had the lowest entrepreneurial aptitude. Moreover, there was a significant correlation between entrepreneurial aptitude and entrepreneurial competence, correlation between entrepreneurial aptitude and entrepreneurial intention, and correlation between entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial intention.
