Factors Affecting Parental Involvement in Digital-Age Education Management of Schools under the Phetchaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

     The objectives of this were 1) to the level of factors affecting parents' participation in the educational management of schools in the digital era; 2) to the level of parents' participation in the educational management of schools in the digital era; and 3) to the factors affecting parents' participation in the educational management of schools in the digital era. The sample used in this research consisted of 242 teachers, determined by using the sample size calculation table of Krejci and Morgan (Krejci & Morgan, 1970: 607). The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The content validity of the instrument was examined, and only items with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) of 0.60 or higher were selected. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.94. The statistics used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) The overall level of factors affecting parents' participation in the educational management of schools in the digital era was at a high level. 2)The overall level of parents' participation in the educational management of schools in the digital era was at a high level. 3) The factors affecting parents' participation in the educational management of schools in the digital era had a predictive efficiency of 39.40%.
