Local People Potential Development for Sustainable Tourism Management in Tambon Lad Chado, PakHai District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

               The objectives of this research were 1) to study readiness and local people potential development needs for Sustainable Tourism Management in Tambon Lad Chado, PakHai District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province 2) Guidelines development and local people development projects for Sustainable Tourism Management in Tambon Lad Chado, PakHai District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Qualitative research, Tools used in research, questionnaires, focus groups, and Projects development people, Sample size 32 research, subjects consist of 16 community leaders and village chiefs, 2 tourism entrepreneurs, 2 community tourism committees, 2 local government officials, and 10 people in the community. 

               1) to study readiness and local people potential development needs for Sustainable Tourism Management in Tambon Lad Chado, PakHai District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, The results are that,

                    1.1) mostly them are female (54.55%), age between 51-60 years old (90.92%), elementary school graduation (22.73%), more than 20 years’ residence (90.92%), and working in an agricultural sector (45.45%), with salary lower than 10,000 baht (50.00%), Half of them have never trained in community management (50.00%), while the other half is found to have been trained in community development before (44.45%).

                    1.2) readiness and local people potential development, knowledge to tourism and personal characteristics ( x̄ =3.58, x̄ =3.81), tourism management and self-reliance and their readiness local people ( x̄ =3.19, x̄ =3.21), Level of local people development needs the following, knowledge ( x̄ =3.70), tourism management ( x̄ =3.950), self-reliance ( x̄ =4.29), and personal characteristics ( x̄ =4.16). 

               2) Guidelines development and local people development projects for Sustainable Tourism Management in Tambon Lad Chado, PakHai District, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, The results are that,

                     2.1)   Guidelines development

                             2.1.1) make be aware local people, to value and beauty of their ways of life, cultures, and traditions should be recognized and developed as tourism products according to the principles of sustainable tourism

                             2.1.2) Should organize tourism activities and services local people with full participation of all the people concerned including people in the community, local organizations and universities

                             2.1.3) public relations and activities local people in Lad Chado Market should be made continuously and participating in the fairs occasionally held under the support of the government sectors should be considered

                             2.1.4) leaders local people and Local organization should be promoted to community. And leaders and local organizations and, It should adjust their attitude to accept the potential impact of tourism. Make to community Development should be recognized among the people in the community. is workshops and attractions study with evaluation and  utilization.

                     2.2) local people development projects

                             2.2.1) Knowledge, to raise awareness among community members of the value of community tourism resources. Provide clear and practical understanding. In planning for community tourism services. And to encourage community participation, there is a shared opinion. Consistent at all stages of the tourism management, the municipality will arrange support staff.

                             2.2.2) Tourism management, to set up a group to carry out full-scale tourism management for people in the community to guide. By asking the Faculty of Management Science. Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University As a consultant

                             2.2.3) Self-reliance, to including the existing tourist resources. Especially the ancient market. And cultural environment To travel more frequently, by asking for support from the Lad Prao Municipality which is ready to support high level.

                             2.2.4) Personality, to the attitude of the people in the community to accept the impact of the establishment of tourism activities in the community, both positive and negative, such as to participate in a fair share of the benefits and problems that may follow.
