Participation of Peoplein the Management of Oxbox Lake A Case Study : Ban Kut Chum, Warinchamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

This research aims to study water quality of the Oxbox Lake and find ways to take advantage of the Oxbox Lake sustained through public participation. The results of this research found that the water quality of Oxbox Lake, were the type 3 or the surface water quality standards. The public has to manage water in Oxbox Lake by the water used for agricultural purposes, including making dry framing, cultivation of morning glory and finger grass. The strong condition of Ban Kut Chum community has strengthened to ahigh level. The corporation on water using, the citizens will have the Administration's water Committee, The village to the coordination and utilization of the water resources sharing have a lot of flexibility. Because of the participation action make the Oxbox Lakefrom water users group includes water used in agriculture is adequately according to the needs, and directly led to the period of time in the village, sharing the conservation and rehabilitation of the water supply, and water use throughout the year.
