Math Camp activity to Promote Mathematical Problem-Solving Skill

Abstract

            This research aimed to create math camp activities that promote math problem solving skills and to compare math problem solving skills of pre-service mathematics teacher. The target group used in this research was 52 first-year students in Mathematics, Faculty of Education, Phetchabun Rajabhat University. The research tools used in the research were 4 math camp activities to promote math problem-solving skills and a math problem-solving skill test. The results showed that the Math camp activities to promote math problem solving skills that the researcher created is at the most appropriate level. The arithmetic mean was 4.59, the standard deviation was 0.34, and the math problem solving skills of the first-year students were higher than before joining the math camp activities statistically significant at the level of .05.
