Quality of Work Life of Civil Servants: Case Study of Medical Correctional Institution

Abstract

            The purposes of this cross sectional study were to study the level of opinion on the quality of work life and compare the quality of work life of civil servants belonging to the medical correctional institution classified by personal factors. The sample group consisted of 189 civil servants in the medical correctional institution. Data was collected by questionnaire and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way ANOVA. The level of statistical significance was set at 0.05. The result showed that the quality of work life of civil servants were moderate. The results found that the sample group with different working age ranges had different opinions on the quality of work life, at statistical significance 0.05. On the other hand, the sample group with different gender, age, job description, rank, average monthly income, average weekly working period and marital status had not different in opinions of the quality of work life.
