The Strategic Integrating Disaster Management in Phuket

Abstract

            This is a mixed methods research which integrates qualitative and quantitative research designs four purposes of this research are studying factor of the successful; 1)  study the behavior of disaster management in Phuket 2)  study the disaster management in Phuket. 3) study the integrating disaster management in Phuket and 4)  the strategic integrating disaster management in Phuket were positive correlated with statistical significance level at 0.01. Results, as well as recommending approaches into prompting the network’s disaster management. The research used in-depth interview to collect data from 11 people who involved in disaster management, Moreover, the researcher used questionnaires to collect information from 400 respondents who live in the study area, which examines the quality of content validity by the qualified person with an index of item-objective congruence (IOC) of aii questions more than 0.70. It finds reliability by using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The confidence of the questionnaire is 0.98. Data analysis using Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
              The result shows that, 1)  The behavior of disaster management in Phuket was found to be moderate (mean=3.192) 2)  The disaster management in Phuket was found to be moderate (mean=3.183) 3)  The integrating disaster management in Phuket was found to be moderate (mean=3.201). 4)  the strategic integrating disaster management in Phuket.  Recommendations are as follows: 1)  the integration of the working system among involved agencies such as local government authorities, regional government agencies, civil society organizations, and community-based organizations and 2)  the arrangement of a special learning session on disaster management skills. This research are studying factor of the successful are heighten efficiency in the integrating disaster management in Phuket.
