Effects of Learning Activities using Cooperative Learning STAD Technique on Mathematics Achievement and Attitude Towards Mathematics of Eleventh Grade Students.

Abstract

       The purposes of this research were to compare mathematics achievement of eleventh grade students before and after using cooperative learning STAD technique, to compare mathematics achievement through cooperative learning STAD with 70 percent criterion, and to study attitude towards mathematics. The subjects consisted of 38 students of eleventh grade students at Latbualuangprirote – wittaya School, in second semester of academic year 2021 obtained from Cluster random sampling. The research instruments were lesson plans using cooperative learning STAD technique, mathematics achievement test and attitude towards mathematics. The data were analyzed by arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test for dependent samples and t-test for one sample.
       The results of the study revealed that: 1) The mathematics academic achievement of eleventh grade students after using cooperative learning STAD technique higher than that before being taught at .05 level of significance. 2) The mathematics academic achievement of eleventh grade students after using cooperative learning STAD technique higher than the 70% criterion at .05 level of significance. 3) The attitude towards mathematic of eleventh grade students after using cooperative learning STAD technique were at positively agree highest level.
