This research aimed to study factors affecting the time consumption of postgraduate student’s graduation, University of Phayao. Academic Year 2020 to Academic Year 2021, Data were collected from 78 postgraduate students by a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics; frequency percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The results indicated that the opinion towards factors affecting the time consumption of postgraduate student’s graduation, University of Phayao in overall was at high level ( x̄=3.82, SD=0.83). When considering each aspect, it revealed that the thesis adviser aspect was at high level ( x̄=4.61, SD=0.56), followed by the student’ s character aspect and the academic service sources ( x̄=4.13, SD=0.83), and the rules for conducting thesis or independent study were at lowest level ( x̄=3.11, SD=0.76). For other problems affecting the time consumption of postgraduate student’s graduation were as the following-the students couldn’t manage the time in studying and doing their research properly and lacking responsibility for their learning and/or their research-the family burden has an effect on the time consumption of their graduation.
