Participation of Teachers and Educational Personnel in the Development of Student Activities of Pong Industrial and Community Education College

The objective of this research was to investigate the participation of teachers and educational personnel in the development of student activities of Pong Industrial and Community Education College. Data for this research were collected using questionnaires, and the population of this study consisted of 44 teachers and educational personnel.
The findings indicated that the respondents were 28 male (63.63%), and 16 female teachers (36.37%). Regarding the age group, 15 respondents (34.09%) were in the 20–30-year range, 22 respondents (50%) were in the 31-40-year range, 5 respondents (11.36%) were in the 41-50-year range, and 2 respondents (4.5%) were in the 51-60-year range. In terms of education qualifications, 37 respondent (84.09%) held a bachelor's degree, and 7 respondents (15.91%) held a master’s degree. Most respondents were General Education teachers (16.12%), followed by the Accounting Program Technology Program (16.12%). The second largest group was in Electrical Power Program, with 4 respondents (12.90%). This was followed by 3 individuals each in the fields of Basic Skills, Information, Electronics Program, Building Construction Program, and Automotive Program (9.67%). Also, the majority of respondents were from the Resource Management Division, with 8 respondents (61.58%), Academic Department, with 2 respondents (15.38%), Student Affairs Department, with 2 respondents (15.38%), and Planning and Cooperation Department, with 1 respondent (7.69%).
The overall level of participation of teachers and educational personnel in the development of student activities at Pong Industrial and Community Education College was high (µ = 3.45). When considered by category, ranked from highest to lowest, the highest level of participation was found in receiving benefit (µ = 3.75), followed by evaluation (µ = 3.50), decision making (µ = 3.41), and implementation (µ = 3.14), respectively.
