Factors Influencing Motivation to Volunteer: A Case Study of Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat Provinces

Abstract
This research aims to investigate factors Influencing motivations for volunteering in the southern border provinces of Thailand, namely Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Employing a quantitative research approach, data was collected through questionnaires administered to a purposive sample of 280 volunteers who have previously volunteered in the three provinces. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized to analyze the data and identify the factors influencing volunteering motivations in these regions. The findings revealed that value-giving and socialization significantly positively impact volunteering motivations in the three provinces. Understanding and self-protection were found to have no significant positive impact on volunteering motivations. Additionally, efficiency enhancement was found to have no significant negative impact on volunteering motivations.
