People's Attitudes toward Leadership Characteristics of the Chief Executive: A Case Study of Budi Subdistrict Municipality, Yala Province

Abstract
This research had the objectives as follow: 1) to study the level of people's attitude towards the leadership characteristics of chief executive of Budi Sub District Municipality. 2)To compare people's attitude towards the leadership characteristics of chief executive of Budi Sub District Municipality by personal characteristics 3) To study the guidelines for efficiency leadership or quality leadership that are suitable for local administrative organizations. The sample group in this study was 11,528people in Budi Sub district, with a total of 387 sample groups obtained from finding number of samples according to Taro Yamane's formula and using Stratified Random Sampling. The research tools were questionnaires, statistics used for data analysis were descriptive statistics including percentage, frequency, arithmetic mean and standard deviation. For hypothesis testing, T-test and One-Way ANOVA were used.
From the study, it was found that 1) the level of attitudes of people in Budi Sub district towards leadership characteristics of chief executive of Budi Sub District Municipality. was at a high level with an average of 3.99. 2) People with different gender, age, village, education level, occupation, and income have different attitude towards the leadership characteristics of chief executive of Budi Sub District Municipality. 3) The guideline for effective leadership are operate with transparency, using modern technology to assist in work, taking into account common interests, work cautiously and provide opportunities for citizens to participate in various processes.
