<b>ทหารกับคน : บนเส้นทางการสร้างระเบียบ วินัยและการต่อต้าน</b><br> Soldiers and Civilians: Trajectory to Discipline and Resistance

บทคัดย่อ

The study used an ethnographic approach,
in which the researcher embedded as a conscript to
learn the culture and life encouraging the draftees
to express their feelings and behaviors. This is to
study 1) the principle of governmentality in the
group of draftees 2) the disciplined organization
method used to create a disciplined body and of
internal control among draftees and 3) the patterns
of resistance to the discipline handling the draftees’
body. The study reveals that the governmentality
occurred because each soldier accepted a set of
knowledge to his disciplined body, and
unconditionally bowed to the practice without until
it becomes his professional habit. The fact that
soldier followed this accepted knowledge even when
they were not under control indicates that such power

comes from within; he is in control of himself. It’s
practice for practice. Power may have the origin and
disappears eventually. Power exists everywhere, but
we may see the functioning of power in some social
contexts. It was found that the discipline in draftees
is imposed through propriate separation, blockage,
control and positioning to space and time during the
drilling . The daily drill schedule is the key that
forces all soldiers to adhere to the norm. The set of
military knowledge is transferred through drills
under the discourse, power, and neat concealment.
It was also found that the force and control form a
“new body replacing the old one which has become
an object . As a result, all types of resistance
become void.It may be said that could mean
military drills for warfare came to an end as soon as
the “new body” that is disciplined and ready for use
was established. This “new body” becomes an
bio-asset and cost, which represent the economic
and social management. However, this form of
discipline could only be seen in certain positions of
a social institution. The production discipline needs
to occupy, produce, and expand the discourse of
discipline and power. The military discipline
represents the self-image of soldiers; their existence
depends on their discipline.

<b> บทคัดย่อ</b><br>ทหารกับคน : บนเส้นทางการสร้างระเบียบ
วินัยและการต่อต้าน ท�าการศึกษาด้วยวิธีวิทยา
เชิงชาติพันธุ์วรรณนา ผู้วิจัยได้สมัครเป็นทหารเกณฑ์
เพื่อเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมและวิถีด�าเนินชีวิตที่เป็นปัจจัย
ผลักดันให้เกิดการแสดงออกของความรู้สึกและ
พฤติกรรมต่างๆ ของทหารเกณฑ์ ก�าหนดวัตถุประสงค์
ของการศึกษาคือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาหลักการปกครอง
ชีวญาณในกลุ่มทหารเกณฑ์ 2) เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการจัด
ระเบียบวินัยในรูปแบบของการจัดระเบียบร่างกายแบบ
อ�านาจในตนของทหารเกณฑ์ 3) เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบ
การต่อต้านระเบียบวินัยที่เข้าไปจัดการกับร่างกายของ
ทหารเกณฑ์ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า การปกครองชีวญาณ
เกิดขึ้นกับทหารเกณฑ์เกิดจากทหารเกณฑ์แต่ละนาย
ยอมรับความรู้ชุดหนึ่งมาใส่ร่างกายที่สร้างระเบียบวินัย
และการน้อมรับต่อการปฏิบัติ ที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างไม่มี
เงื่อนไขและการต่อรองจนกลายเป็นพฤตินิสัยติดตัวไป
การปฏิบัติตามความรู้ที่ตนยอมรับแล้วเกิดขึ้นเสมอ
แม้ว่าจะมีหรือไม่มีผู้ควบคุม แสดงให้เห็นว่าแท้จริงแล้ว
อ�านาจอยู่ในตน สามารถบงการปกครองได้ด้วยตนเอง
นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าความมีระเบียบวินัยที่เกิดขึ้นกับ

เสมือนเป็นหัวใจส�าคัญที่ท�าให้ทหารเกณฑ์อยู่ใน
บรรทัดฐานที่ทุกคนต้องปฏิบัติ ชุดความรู้ของความ
เป็นทหารท�าการส่งผ่านด้วยวิธีการฝึกอันมีวาทกรรม
และอ�านาจอ�าพรางอย่างแนบเนียน นอกจากนั้นผลการ
ศึกษายังพบว่า การบังคับควบคุมท�าให้เกิด “ร่างกาย”
แบบใหม่และแทนที่ร่างเดิมถูกจ�ากัดลงเหลือแค่วัตถุ
ชนิดหนึ่ง ยังผลให้การต่อต้านทุกรูปแบบเป็นโมฆะ
กล่าวได้ว่าการฝึกทหารเพื่อการสงครามได้ยุติลงพร้อม
กับการสถาปนา “ร่าง” ขึ้นใหม่ อันเป็น “ร่าง” ที่มี
ระเบียบวินัยและพร้อมใช้งาน “ร่าง” ที่เกิดขึ้นนี้กลาย
มาเป็นทรัพย์สินทางชีวภาพและค่าใช้จ่ายที่สามารถ
เป็นตัวแทนการจัดการในแง่ของเศรษฐกิจและสังคม
อย่างไรก็ตาม ระเบียบวินัยพึงเห็นได้เฉพาะบาง
ต�าแหน่งแห่งที่ของสถาบันทางสังคม เป็นการผลิต
