About the Journal

     JSHRA (formerly the Prince of Songkla University Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities) is a national academic journal published every four months (three issues a year). Its purposes are to promote and provide a platform for national and international faculty members, scholars, researchers, and students to disseminate and exchange research and academic works, especially newly discovered knowledge in the humanities and social sciences. Accepted publication articles include research papers, academic articles, and review articles.

       The submitted manuscript must not be previously published in any journal or publication (except research reports and theses) and must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal.  The editorial board will pass the selected article to at least three peer-review experts to assess its quality.   In addition, for publishing, the author must revise the article according to the reviewers' suggestions and obtain approval from the editorial board.

1. Economics and Development Studies  Research on economic systems, development strategies, trade networks, financial policies, and market dynamics in Asia. Focus areas include:

• Sustainable and inclusive growth
• Inequality and poverty alleviation
• Labor market transitions and entrepreneurship
• Globalization and digital transformation of economies

2. Human and Social Dynamics  Studies of human behavior, social structures, and cultural change in Asian contexts. Topics include:

• Sociology, anthropology, and psychology
• Mental health and wellbeing in communities
• Social cohesion, conflict, and resilience
• The role of social policy in shaping equitable societie

3. Political Science and Governance  This pillar examines power, institutions, and decision-making processes shaping Asian societies. Areas of interest include:

• Political systems and governance in Asia
• Public policy and administration
• Democracy, authoritarianism, and hybrid regimes
• Civil society, participation, and grassroots movements
• International relations and Asia’s role in global governance

4. Humanities and Cultural Inquiry Scholarship on cultural heritage, identity, and expression in Asia. Topics include:

• Philosophy, ethics, and belief systems in Asian thought
• History, memory, and historiography
• Arts, literature, and aesthetics as reflections of societal change
• The role of cultural narratives in shaping modern Asian identities

Call for Submissions
JSHRA invites scholars and researchers to submit original, high-quality manuscripts that advance knowledge in the social sciences and humanities, particularly in areas relevant to Asia. The journal welcomes research articles, academic articles, and review articles that make a clear and meaningful scholarly contribution.

All submissions are subject to editorial screening and a rigorous peer-review process. Prospective authors are encouraged to review the journal’s aims, scope, and author guidelines before submitting their manuscripts through the online submission system. Published articles are openly accessible to readers worldwide.
