บทคัดย่อ

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to inquire into the
Yogya people’s movement to retain specific
administration and sultanate of Yogyakarta Special
Administrative Region among the questions about
appropriateness of those statuses which has been
received since independence proclamation. The rise
of this movement has been recognized in Indonesia
widely and has been one of important elements which
have strengthened the status quo of such specialty. The
author elucidates the formation of this complicated
movement that has been influenced by many factors.
Besides, the author also focuses on its resources
mobilization strategy which is necessary to achieve
their purpose. Finally, the author argues that the rise
of Yogya people’s movement cannot be considered
separately from the Yogya social, politics and culture
context.
