The Development Guidelines of Sanamchan Community Nakhon Pathom Province according to OTOP Inno-Life Tourism Community

Abstract

This is a research and development to study the context and situation of tourism management and to find guidelines to develop tourism in Sanamchan Community, Nakhon Pathom. A mixed method is employed into this study: 1) surveying 400 participants in Sanamchan Community by distributing questionnaires and using descriptive statistic analysis; 2) studying OTOP-Inno-Life of best practice community and 3) conducting a focus-group interview of community stakeholders and applying content analysis. The results show that;

            1) The implementation of tourism management in Sanamchan Community has a tourism system that connects to tourist attractions, a travel plan of community tourism and a community tourism committee. Moreover, agricultural products and products processing are able to generate income for the community and facilities to serve tourists widely.

            2) OTOP Inno-Life of best practice community has potentials to attract tourists. There are a clear and systematic management, facilities, uniqueness of local products and varieties of tourism services.

            3) The development of tourism in Sanamchan Community regarding to OTOP-Inno-Life should encourage tourism personnel; make a community tourism business plan; develop tourist attractions and facilities and improve tourism products and services.
