การศึกษาความรู้พื้นฐานภาษาอังกฤษที่ใช้ในงานสาธารณสุข ของบุคลากรในโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพส่วนตำบลจังหวัดมหาสารคาม A Study of Basic English Used in Public Health by Personnelof Health in Promoting HospitalsMahaSarakham Province

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ 1) เพื่อทราบระดับความสามารถและความจำเป็นในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในการปฏิบัติงาน และ
2) เพื่อศึกษาระดับความรู้พื้นฐานภาษาอังกฤษที่ใช้ในงานสาธารณสุขของบุคลากรรพ.สต. อำเภอเมืองมหาสารคาม จังหวัดมหาสารคาม
กลุ่มเป้าหมาย คือ บุคลากรในรพ.สต. อำเภอเมืองมหาสารคาม จังหวัดมหาสารคามเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยแบ่งออกเป็น 4 ส่วนคือ
ส่วนที่ 1 ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสถานภาพของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม ส่วนที่ 2 ความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ และความจำเป็นในการใช้
ภาษาอังกฤษในการปฏิบัติงาน ส่วนที่3ความต้องการฝึกอบรมภาษาอังกฤษและ 4) แบบทดสอบภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อศึกษาระดับความรู้พื้น
ฐานภาษาอังกฤษสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ ร้อยละผลวิจัยพบว่า 1) ระดับความสามารถในการใช้ทักษะภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารของ
บุคลากรรพ.สต. สามารถฟังและพูดได้เพียงเล็กน้อยคิดเป็นร้อยละ 73.77 และมีความจำเป็นต้องใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในการปฏิบัติงาน
คิดเป็นร้อยละ 88.522) ระดับคะแนนแบบทดสอบภาษาอังกฤษที่ใช้ในงานสาธารณสุขของบุคลากรรพ.สต.พบว่า มีผู้ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ
52.46 และไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์ ร้อยละ 47.54

This research aimed to 1) determine the level of abilities and needs for using English in the works of
personnel of Health Promoting and 2) study the level of basic English used in Public health by personnel of
Health Promoting Hospitals in Muang District, MahaSarakham Province. The target group consisted of personnel
in Health Promoting Hospitals of Muang District, MahaSarakham Province. The instrument used in this research
consists of 4 parts: Part I is for basic information on the respondent’s status, Part II is for determining abilities
and needs for using English in the works of personnel, Part III is needs assessment for English training, and
Part IV is a test for assessing the personnel’s basic level of English. The statistics used in analyzing data was
percentage. Results of the study revealed the following; 1)regarding the level of abilities and needs for using
English in the works of personnel, it was found that personnel of health promoting hospitals could use English
at a minimal level, which accounted for 73.77 percent; and the need for using English in their works was 88.52
per cent.2) Regarding the results of testing personnel’s English used in public health, it was found that 52.46
per cent of the personnel passed the test while 47.54 per cent of them did not.
