Publication Ethics

The editorial team of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University Journal has established guidelines and best practices to ensure compliance with ethical standards for publishing academic works in the operation of the journal and for individuals involved. They have defined roles and responsibilities for three groups of individuals within the publication criteria, namely authors, journal editors, and peer reviewers. These individuals have studied, understood, and followed the specified guidelines as follows.

Duties of Editor :

1. The editor and/or editorial team are responsible for considering and evaluating all submitted manuscripts for publication to the journal. The considering article content is consistent with the journal's objectives, as well as ensuring the quality of the articles in the evaluation process and the quality of the articles before publication. Editors retain the right to make final decisions on all articles that are evaluated for publication in the journal.
2. Editors are committed to upholding research integrity and ethical standards and will willingly consider retracting or correct misspelled words if notified and requested by the author.
3. Editors should carry out their decision-making regarding original manuscripts to ensure high-quality content without any bias.
4. Editors should evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit and free from commercial or personal gain.
5. Editors should not disclose any information related to articles submitted for consideration before publication.
6. Editors should promptly and thoroughly investigate any allegations of research misconduct in research according to appropriate authority and duties.

Duties of Reviewers : 

1. Reviewers should assess manuscripts in their field of expertise, focusing on the quality of the manuscript. They should critically evaluate the manuscript based on academic principles and reasoning, avoiding bias or personal opinions. Reviewers should be providing the evaluation results within the period that specified by the editor.
2. Reviewers should evaluate the originality, academic value, completeness of content, structure, language clarity, clarity of hypotheses/objectives, presentation, organization, academic accuracy, discussion of findings, and proper academic referencing of the submitted original manuscript. They should also offer constructive comments and suggestions to enhance the quality of the manuscript.
3. Reviewers should not disclose any information related to articles submitted for consideration before publication.
4. Reviewers should not have any conflicts of interest with the authors or any other reasons that may prevent them from providing an unbiased assessment of the manuscript. Reviewers should inform the journal editor and decline to review a manuscript if such conflicts exist.
5. Reviewers should promptly notify the journal editor when they encounter any evidence of ethical misconduct in the research presented in the manuscript they are reviewing.

Duties of Authors :

1. The author(s)' manuscript must be the work that has not been published elsewhere before.
2. The authors need to ensure that the work was based on the fact from the study, with no altered or false information.
3. The authors must not plagiarize the work of others and must provide citations every time they present or reference the work of others in the content of their article.
4. If it is known that the author has plagiarized the work or submitted the work in duplicate with other journals or other works have been published before, the manuscript will be withdrawn, as well as pressing legal charges to the related parties and organization. However, this will be based on the severity of each case.
5.The authors must submit evidence of approval from the Research Ethics Committee of their institution or another relevant agency if the article involves the use of data from human or animal research.
6. In the case of research involving experimentation on humans or animals where experiments on humans may have implications for dignity, rights, safety, and well-being an ethics approval certificate issued by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or the Animal Ethics Committee must be attached. The approval for publication is subject to the consideration of the Journal’s Editorial Board, and such decision shall be final.

Ethics in Human and Animal Research (if applicable)
For academic works submitted for consideration in this journal, if the study involves research related to humans or animals, authors are required to provide evidence that the study has undergone the appropriate research review process (if applicable), such as an approval letter. Furthermore, authors must strictly adhere to ethical principles, relevant laws, and all applicable regulations.

Plagiarism Prevention
