Artistic Creativity in Isarn Traditional Dancing Styles by Isarn Local Wisdom

Abstract
The purposes of the research were to create and develop Isarn traditional dancing styles by Isarn local
wisdom, to evaluate the traditional dancing styles, and to promote the traditional dancing performancs as an
instructional media to the public. The sample subjects were 25 forth year students of the Dramatic Art Program
of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University in 2015. They were
selected by the purposive sampling technique. The qualitative research wasemployed for the study by
teaching and practicing the traditional dancing styles Results of the research were as follows.
The Isarn traditional dancing performances consisted of 15 traditional dancing styles: Keau Sau Yoh
Dancie, Mee Mai Saket Dancie, On Son Papraemon Dancie, Wongsa Naka NakeePratheep Dancie, Sri Nakhon
Lamduan Dancing, Nat Nareepol Dancie, Ey Kit Wonduean Dancie, SerngPhamee Dancie, UrakhaBuchaPra
That Nadun Dancie, NartLeelaMalai Rang Mai Dancie, Saket Nakhon On Son Paboon Dancie, EyMalai Kea
Dancie, and Ramwong Ban NongRuea Dancie.
The beautifulness and appropriateness of the Isarn traditional dancing styles assessed by five experts
was at a high level (87.90%). The research contents included dancing lessons. Lesson plans, dancing styles,
dancing performances, dancers, costume, and music.
The traditional dances was performed to the public and promoted through YouTube channel during
May-November 2016, and the dancing styles were viewed by 35,328 viewers. The overall satisfaction of the
audiences with the traditional dancing styles was at a high level.
In conclusion, the creative Isarn traditional dancing styles are beautiful and appropriate for instructional
purposed of the dramatic art students and promotion to the public.
