The People’s Participation on the Local Development Making of Donklang Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kosumphisai District Mahasarakham Province.

Abstract
This research aimed to study and to compare the people’s participation on the local development making
of Donklang Sub-district Administrative Organization classified by their gender, age, education and village.
Including study the useful suggestions to develop the people participation. The sample was 316 people living
in the area of Donklang Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kosumphisai District, Mahasarakham Province.
The instrument was the five rating scale questionnaire. Statistics were frequency, percentage, mean, standard
deviation, t-test (Independent sample) and F-test (One Way ANOVA).
The research results were found as follows;
1. The people’sparticipation on the local development making of Donklang Sub-district Administrative
Organization, Kosumphisai District, Mahasarakham Province as overall was at moderated level, ranking the
mean from highest to lowest; the decision, the performance, the advantage obtaining, the monitoring and the
evaluation respectively.
2. The the people’s participation on the local development making of Donklang Sub-district Administrative
Organization classified by their gender, age, and village were different by statistical significant at 0.05 levels,
however, classified by their education was not different.
3. The useful suggestions to develop the people participation were found that; 1) there should be a community
meeting to present the problem and the need to prepare local development plans, 2) the public should
be able participate on monitoring of construction operations, 3) all project should
